1998 xp951 limited drive shaft question

Hey guys,

pulled my jet pump off and the drive shaft came with it. I pulled it off of the jet pump assembly and placed it back into the hull carrier.
my question is, should I be able to turn that chaff by hand and see it turn up by the engine pto?

Yes, but it might be difficult with the spark plugs in.
Typically when you pull that rear driveshaft the rear couple will fall down and disengage from the middle driveshaft.

My motor is out. I should check the coupler behind the boot to make sure it engaged then correct?

Why is your engine out?
You are going to have to align it with the correct alignment tool.

Motor needed rebuilt.
if the motor was aligned when I pulled it out will I still need to align it again?
