Just bought 98 speedster, first time in water it ran around 55 mph. After we parked it and took a break we got back in it and the right motor would not come up to full rpm just stayed around 4,000 and the speed would not get over 30 mph. We looked at it and discovered one of the exhaust hoses had come apart inside itself and was blocking flow of exhaust. Sea Doo quit making the part so we had a piece bent at a muffler shop. With the new part installed we put it back in the water and it is still doing the same thing. All the other hoses are open, don't know where to go from here. Any suggestions.

your cooling system is plugged up. do compression on motor, if good, pull carbs, go thru them and/but need to find a correct hose. BTW, which hose came apart/location?

The hose was discontinued by Sea Doo. It is the RH Exhaust hose. I've called everyone I can think of and no one has the part.

pull the raves and clean them, also, volt test battery, while holding around 5500rpm. Post your findings.
