Recently purchased watercraft, ran for about 10 min then set overnight. The following day it was hard to turn over would not start. Removed both spark plugs and it turned over fine but its shooting large amounts of gas from both of the spark plug holes. Any ideas or information would be great.

Thanks for your time.

You certain it was gas and not water? Have the fuel lines been replaced and the carbs cleaned?

It was gas. I have not changed any fuel lines.and I was going to order 2-rebuild kits hoping that's it but I hate to keep throwing money at something that isnt it. Just never heard of gas coming out like that thanks for any help

Are the fuel lines grey? If so, they have to go. It also sounds like a carb rebuild is in order. Be sure to get on OEM Mikuni kit. I hear the aftermarket ones are a problem.

Yes they are still grey.I will change them and get the rebuild kits just didn't know were to start never heard of happening to any one else thanks for your time I'll give it a try. If not any other suggestions?

The ethanol fuel deteriorates the fuel lines and clogs up the carbs. That is the first thing that is addressed when someone has a problem with there older units. Do a search and you will find endless threads about fuel lines. Besides replacing the fuel lines, rebuild/clean the carbs and check to see what the compression is.

i will get started i will let u know thanks for your time. know at least i no were to start. thanks again!
