I am new to this post, I have yet to purchase. I looked at a 1998 SEA DOO GSX LIMITED along with a 1999 YAMAHA XL LIMITED 1200

Both from the same person double trailer $4000.

the Sea doo is purple and red and the hull is in really good shape as well as the Yamaha. The impeller on both looked really good from what I could see they almost looked new. The person selling says they used them until Sept them had them stored for the winter; it was 10 degrees out so we did not even attempt to start them. Going back next weekend to pick them up, besides starting them what else can I look for? No way to ride them and I am sure they will be gone before spring.

Sorry for the long post.

I picked up a 2000 yamaha GP1200R in the fall for $2400 with a single trailer. The 1200XL is basically comparable to mine except its a 3 seater instead of 2, and the engine is not powervalved so it has 25 less horsepower. So going by that, the price seems decent... but not a "must buy right this second" great deal. You could probably get him down a little bit

Make sure you check the compression on each cylinder of the engines. The seadoo should be 150 ideal (135 or higher is good) and the yamaha should be 130 ideal (120+ is good) if it is comparable to my 1200cc powervalved engine, which i think it is
