Can anyone verify if this is the correct orifice that goes into the fuel line before the accelerator pump on a 1998 GTX. I purchased it off of ebay based on the part number search but it did not come in a seadoo part bag. I did not know it was in my old lines and threw it away.

Tapered end in or out? The hole is smaller on the tapered end, I would assume the taper goes towards the accelerator pump and the fat end goes away from it. Does this part just help keep fluid in the pump, just curious what the purpose of it is? I only tested the ski in the water once for about 5min after getting it running in the fall but didnt feel any abnormal operation.

Are you sure your ski requires this part? When I did searching it looked like it only went one the model year 2000 and newer on the 947/951. I'd think the taper would go toward the accelerator pump feed. I'm not sure what I did with mine. LOL I don't think it matters much. I hate accelerator pumps on this carbs but I said that already. :D
