I have a strange thing with my 98 gts. I replaced all my fuel lines last spring after I bought it. When I get to a half of tank of fuel it seems like it bogs and will not get into the upper jets. If I go refuel ski it runs fine. Do u think it could be the fuel pickup?

Interesting problem....could possibly be a crack in the fuel pickup assembly along the internal "tube" inside the fuel baffle/pickup assembly.....ski could be sucking air once it gets to a certain point in the tank. Pull the fuel pickup and check for cracking along the outside body of the pickup tube. If found...options are a repair with a soldering iron to melt and seal the crack OR replace the fuel pickup assembly with a good used or NEW one.....NOTE -> NEW ones have both 1/4" & 5/16" nipples on the top so you'll have to fiddle some with your 1/4" fuel lines to get them to fit

Could be clogged fuel vent. Consumption of fuel then creates vacuum in tank. Next time it happens open fuel cap and listen for a hiss of rushing air. If you do, you probably have a clogged fuel vent.
