What rpm's should this be topping out at? It seems to go no further than 6800 rpm and that is about 45 mph. What could be going wrong because it used to go faster. I have gone through both carbs and put new fuel lines in.
Also, it will blow the VTS fuse after riding it about an hour and occasionally adjusting the trim. I have opened up the VTS box and it was all clean and dry. The screw shaft was well lubricated with marine grease so everything appears fine. Any ideas?
