Just bought today previous owner said it just needed a selonoid replaced with oem part put a new battery in got 2 beeps before trying to start ski. Hit the start button and all I get is a clunk sound. Any suggestions

The engine is locked up. Pull the cover off the PTO (end of the engine) take the spark plugs out, and see if you can turn it by hand.

If it turns... throw a towel over the sparkplug holes... and try to crank it again. (it may spray oil out)

If it does not turn... take the jet pump off the back. Sometimes if water gets into the pump bearings, and it sits... the pump locks up.

Le me know what you find.

We see this all the time here. A seller says... "All it needs is XXXX". But in reality, there are major issues. Lets hope we can figure it out, and it doesn't get expensive.

It'll clunk with a low battery or bad starter too. You can pick up a starter rebuild kit from ebay or amazon for like 30 bucks and it's pretty easy to do once you get the starter out. If it cranks with the plugs out and no oil, water or gas blows out of the spark plug holes, then it probably is the starter as the 787 eats them like hot cakes. Just make sure your battery is good and charged before ripping anything apart.
