1997 SPX 5 AMP fuse

I have a 1997 Seadoo SPX. Runs great.. for 10-15 minuets, then blows the 5Amp fuse in the MPEM. Disconnected entire VTS and same issue. I wouldn’t think the MPEM is bad since it’ll run for 10 minuets without blowing the fuse. I’m thinking maybe the stator is bad… but unsure. Anything else I can check?

Hi,
On my 1996 Seadoo GSX is completely dead and the 5a fuse keeps blowing. I’ve already replaced te rectifier but unfortunately no progress.
What I noticed is that the fuse only blows when the stator plug on the flywheel is connected.
Is this a 100% the MPEM? And can I replace a diode like on the later models?
If yes where is the diode located?
