1997 Seadoo Xp jet pump stuck on shaft

hey everyone,
I have a 1997 seadoo xp, I am trying to take off the jet pump. The shaft is stuck on the pump and the slide on the shaft is frozen on the shaft so I cant get the C clip off the shaft. An to make matters worse the front part of the shaft where it goes into the splines to convert to the bigger shaft is also seized in there, I was using a pry bar to try and move the slide an it was moving the whole shaft from the front which seems its seized on there too. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to get this stuff un seized to continue the job.

Thanks for the reply. I will try some heat see if that helps. Have to get a block of wood to hold the coupler that the shaft goes into for the biggier knucle. Since when I pull on it the whole thing moved.

I had the same problem. I ended up using some PB blaster, lots of it, and also a hammer with a brass punch, tapping on both sides of the metal coupling.

Thank you for youre comment. I did as you both stated an it did come apart. I appreciate the comments guys!! Now to change the steering cable and rebuild the carbs.
