How can I separate the hull / body to work on the engine ?

You can’t without damaging the hull. The factory used a super strong epoxy that is oftentimes stronger than the fiberglass.

Depends on what kind of engine work? carbs? rotary valve? top end can be accomplished with it still in, anything like attention on the bottom end crank/balance shaft just pull it. If you don't have a hoist, with the top end jugs removed, starter removed, it should be fairly light.
