Hi

I have a 1997 seadoo GTX with 87 hours on clock
in 2004 it was stolen ( i still had starting key)
I got it back from police in 2009
The people who stole it have tried hot wiring it but no major wiring damage (but they didnt manage to it)
the engine will turn over but i cant get a spark from the plugs so engine not started in 5 years..
can anyone help before i have to take it to a dealer

Thanks

Is there a possibility that it is actually a 1996? The 96 GTX had a small ground wire that had to be connected to the battery neg. post (along with the large ground cable) or the ski wouldn't have spark.

No def a 97 model and i do connect both balck wires

i also get the two short beeps when i connect the lanyard so i know we are all connected correct

if the mpem was blown would i still get the two correct beeps??

You say they tried to hot wire the ski. Where on the ski did they do this? Look closely at the rear electrical box and front electrical box and where the harness plugs into the front of the engine. Every thing look normal? All wires connected, etc.?
