1997 Challenger - Foam Blocks in engine compartment?

These were loose in engine compartment, one each side, not shown in parts list.
Where do they go and what are they for.

They're part of the system that makes the boat un-sinkable. Mine are loose also and not sure where they originally went but I leave them in there for the buoyancy.

Seadoo boats are far from unsinkable and I doubt those small pieces would change that. They look like a divider of some kind.
 
They create a duct from the floor of the engine compartment that the blower uses to vent the area. I think a lot of them get removed as many boats I looked at didn’t have them. The Challenger 1800 I bought they are intact and this is what they do. Blower on one side(starboard) that I think blows out and sucks clean air in from other side(port).
