1997.5 GSX jet size don't want to run lean

I am rebuilding a seadoo gray ghost 1997.5 GSX. I'm trying to figure out what size jet to use on the carburetor and what size spring to use. Right now it has a 155 and a 77.5, It's my understanding that these skis run lean. I was thinking about going to 162.5 / 77.5 and using 2.0 needle instead of stock 1.8. Any suggestions on a strategy to get it run right? If I make these changes will the pop off be messed up requiring a new spring size or the use of shims. I bought it with 110 compression so I sent it off to be rebuilt a few months ago and hope to have it back this week to put it all back together.

I understand stand that this is a funky model year and many of them burned up. I bought two 98 gsx a red and gray model with a trailer for a very low price where I basically got the gray ghost for free.

Try this…
After looking through the shop manual information, I would keep your 77.5 Low jets. 165 for high.
2.0 NS. 95g spring
