Should having air filter installed, just the filter and/or filter and box, make a difference to how the Seadoo runs? I have cleaned carbs, installed new kits, checked pop off, cleaned rave valves, run with rectifier disconnected, replaced fuel lines, bypassed selector valve. Ski runs fine on hose with slight hesitation accelerating, but bogs down in the water won't accelerate. Pulling choke on a little seems to help the acceleration issue on land. Just seems to be to lean.

Yes, not running the entire airbox is not good, you will be way too lean.
