1996 XP-Casting plug rusted out on exhaust pipe??? Question

I bought two XPs last year and the lower casting plugs on the pipe has a small hole rusted through on both skis, I pulled the pipes and took them to a local welder. The welder was not able to get all the sand out from when they were forged. I have been able to get a good amount out by banging on then and using an air hose. However is seems to be never ending. my question is-IF THERE IS MORE SAND, WILL IT JUST BLOW OUT OR CAN IT CAUSE PROBLEMS?:rofl:

I would imagine it was from years of use, not from casting.

I would keep doing what you are doing...if you can find a place to set it on so its vibrating that would work it loose. LOL I cant think of a good example though!
