1996 Spx beep sound overhead

Hi Guys,
My 1996 spx was running in the lake for about 10 minutes then I got a constant loud sound like engine overhead . Water still pumping out fro the 2 little holes at back steaming. What is wrong with the engine? Is it the oil pump quit? Or what is the problem? How to fix that? Please help .

The one long beep is the overheating alarm.

f the engine was still only warm to the touch then it probably isn't overheating. Unplug the temp sensor and see if the beeping stops. It could be a bad sensor.
