1996 seadoo- will not run for long periods of time

I have a 1996 seadoo it ran for 5 to 10 minutes at a time and then just shut down. I took it to a mechanic and he said i needed a new drive shaft and impellar and bearing thing cause it was getting to hot and it would not run for some reason. After, I got that fixed it still has the same problem. Any, advice will be much appreciated! thanks
