Don’t know if I’m in the right area to post, I’m new here.. I have a 1996 seadoo that I just purchased. Has a oil block off and the oil for the rotary Valve has a hose that runs from the inlet of the engine to the outlet of the engine. Does the oil in that hose have to be changed, if so how do I change that oil and what kind of oil? Also what kind of oil should I be premixing and what ratio, I believe it’s a sea doo spi but the ski has no decals on it.

I would put the oil pump back on. Seadoo oilpumps rarely if ever go out. It will save you a bunch of money on oil usage. Your oil has to be API tc rated for Seadoos. Most people run Seadoo full synthetic. I personally run Amsoil . If you keep it on premix mix it at 40-1. Seriously consider putting an oil pump back on . The oil pump works on a variable rate meaning that at idle or low speeds you are using very little oil. You will double your oil usage by premixing because your at 40-1 all the time which is for wide open throttle.

You don't have to change the oil in the looped hose but you need to make sure it ALWAYS has oil in it or you will destroy the rotary shaft and crank gear. As said above any API-TC rated oil. If the bottle doesn't say specifically API-TC or says TCW-3 anywhere on it it is wrong.

I put the TCw-3 in my not knowing and isn’t not running Was told it causes Sea-Doos to overheat and mixing them is not a good idea so I recommend draining the oil if that was to happeni was told by the guy i got the 95xp and the 2000 rxdi from to use FULL Synthetic oil Mistik Jt4 from Academy sports Seeing how I don’t have a Sea-Doo dealer in the town that I live in .does anyone else use this?

People do use the mystic but I buy the seadoo XPS full synthetic for $36 a gallon with free shipping over $99 so I just order 3 at a time from pro caliber.
