So on my 96 gtx when I first crank it whether it’s off the trailer or it’s sat at the dock for an hour then it won’t go as soon as I punch the throttle it cranks fine and idles fine but when I punch the throttle it only goes to about 2300 rpms. After riding around for 5-10 minutes and cutting the jet ski on and off it will eventually take off and go and run fine does anyone know what this could be?

No it idles fine and I just rebuilt the carburetors and replaced the needle and seats with all mikuni parts and the fuel lines were also replaced last year

Did you follow the CARB rebuild sticky post ALL the way through? Did you test pop off pressure? When you re-installed everything, did you sync everything? Idle screw/oil pump/throttle and choke cable adjustments....the devil is in the details. Very MINOR adjustments will affect the ski in a GOOD or BAD way, so there is always some tweaking and dialing everything back in to really get the ski back to performance standards.
