I was having problems with my (1996 GTX).It would everynow and then slow to an idle.You keep unpluging the dess key till it would run fine.A local shop said it was the fuel pump and the carbs needed to be rebuilt.They done this and did not fix the problem.(IT was actually the voltage regulator).Now the ski uses an abnormal amount of gas, slowed down 3 mph , and if you don,t turn the fuel off the motor wiill fill up with fuel and lock? The shop said adjusted carbs but, really didn,t fix the problem.

Her Needles and seats are leaking the fuel. They botched the re-build by not leak down testing after reassembly. If you have a pop-off tester, you can test the PO
right on the ski, they should be within 1 psi of each also. They may have the lines on the wrong nipples. Supply on a carb is the lower nipple. Bills86e
