I have a 96 GTI, I don't use it very often but I got it tuned up and running in 2006. The battery light stayed on back then and they replaced the voltage regulator, I haven't used it since 2006 and the family was comming in for the 4th holiday so I bought a new battery and spark plugs and it started with hardly any cranking. After it was running for a little while i went to shut it off and noticed the battery light on again, it could have been on from the start I just didn't look. What should I check and or where?
