I have a 1995 spi with a 587 single carb motor. The ski runs great once it starts. It will start right up on the trailer but will almost never start in the water. Starter is good, compression is good. Carb has been rebuilt but I did not check the pop off pressure so I don't know what that is. I just put this motor in this ski and while it was out I removed the oil pump and run premix. I also replaced the rotary valve while it was out. It is timed correctly. Once it start it runs great but it will take forever and the choke does not seem to help at all.
