HI everyone,

I ahve a 1995 Speedster on the karavan / Karvan trailer and am wonder what PCD the wheel is. I know its 5 stud so wonder is it 5 /100 5/114.3 etc.

It is the 12 Inch wheel .

Any leads or help would be very beneficial.

Cheers

HI timmy Thanks for that BUt here in Australia we dont have chevy's

do you know the actual metric numbers eg holden commodore also known as a Pontiac G8 over there over here it is 5/120 is that 4.5 in inches?

that 5/120...from the inches to mm chart, is the "big" chevy bolt pattern = 5/4.75. Need to look around the 5/114-115 ish pattern..?(actually..5/114.3)

Are you looking for new rims, or are you looking to upgrade to better rims? What are you trying to do that you'd need new wheels?

Hi jake its purely as a spare. as the trailer didnt come with one. When the mods and repairs to the boat are finished will be driving a fair distance for a holiday with friends. dont want to be caught short.

Any ideas where i would find one>?

From what I understand, around here you can just go to Farm & Fleet and get a rim + tire for LESS than if you put a new tire on the rim. The guy I bought my boat from had just put new rims and tires on, the old tires were needing replacement and it was cheaper with new rims. Don't know if you have a Farm & Fleet or anything like that over there, but anywhere that would sell either farm equipment stuff or anything dealing with outdoors stuff might be a place to try. Best of luck!

Thanks Guys, Nothing like that over here will have to hunt around and see what i can find. It is deffinately 5 / 114.3?

Cheers

That is a fairly standard size trailer wheel. I would think any Chain Store that handles trailer tires/ rims should have one cheap.

Just get a tape measure and measure it on the ones you have now. The wheel is a standard size used by a lot of trailer mfgs.

Hi guys the Search is fruitless over here.

Can anyone recommend an american supplier who can do these new and ship to Melbourne Australia. getting a little desperate.

Cheers.

I'm sorry your having a problem getting a wheel for your trailer. I guess in the states we take things like this for granted. I'll do some looking around for you and see what I can come up with.

Karl

I don't know if this helps, but an autosupply chain up this way has a fair number of general trailer accessories and tires. They have an online store too, but I can't say whether they would ship to Australia.

Their store is at www.princessauto.com

"google" that size bolt pattern, then cross reference the type of vehicles that are over there...?

Or, get ahold of Harbor Freight...harborfreight.com, see what they can do...if so, then order there, 5.30/12 wheel/tire, being a 5 bolt pattern. They also have 4 bolt.

HI karl that would be great, have thought of trying a few of the Guys in Western Australia to see if they had any but not sure of any members out that way.

No vehicles that i know of over here have anything remotely close. Only vehilces that are 12 inch wheels are 4/100 mini clubmans or mighty boys.

Thanks for the Tip on Princess auto unfortunately they dont have a 12 in 5/114.3

any other ideas would be agreatly appreciated - also then have to worry about where to mount it to the trailer as well.

I should have checked the site first before passing it along. I figured that they must have the right size, but I guess not. Sorry about that.

I suppose should worse come to absolute worse, you could have someone in the US buy a few rims/wheels and ship them to you? Sounds like you're going away before they'd get there, but at least if you went that route you'd have a few.

Yeah maybe the best idea. i have found someone who has the ability to ship to australia just want to make sure they are deffinately right before i go and order.

Cheers.
