Hello all nice to meet you!

I just bought a CLEAN 1995 seado SPX took it out for a spin.. and was having a loss of fuel/bogging issues.. did some digging around... have the grey/green gum temp lines.. so i'm going to replace all them as well.. just ordered a carb rebuild kit... took both carbs off and going to replace oil lines with clean ones..

my question is.. carbs are rebuilt.... can i just install them like i took them off?

i keep hearing people talk bad about the oil injection? do i have to adjust anything? if so can yall explain that a bit? i'm very mechanically inclined just never worked on a SKI before

what i've done so far

(REBUILT BOTH CARBS)

What i need to do

(replace fuel lines)
(replace oil lines?)
(new plug)

Since it is a dual carb, you do need to synchronize the carburetors. The throttle butterflies need to be opening at the same time. Definitely replace the oil injection lines while you have the carbs off. Test the oil pump for function. The only adjustment for the oil pump is to check the alignment marks on the pump when they are connected to the carburetor. The adjustment nut is on the carburetor side of the cable. Procedures for testing and aligning the pump are the manual which is available online.

Testing the oil pump involves removing the pump, connecting it to an oil supply, and using a drill running counter-clockwise to turn the pump shaft. YOu should see it pushing oil out the feed lines. Alternately, if you replaced the oil lines with clear lines, you should be able to start the engine and see the oil moving through the lines. You can actuate the cam on the pump manually to see oil flow faster. There are specific quantities of oil that should pump out, but again that information is in the service manual.

As to aligning the pump, its all in the service manual. There are two hash marks, one on the pump body and one on the cam. The pump is aligned when the two hash marks line up with the throttle at idle. YOu have to set the idle speed on the carburetor first, then adjust the oil pump. Again, the procedure is in the service manual.
