1995 Hx having issues

Just bought a 1995 seadoo hx off of a buddy, and I took it out for its first ride of the summer. It ran great for the first hour, then we took a break and got back on and it started bogging down. So it runs good full throttle, and I soon as you release the throttle it will go to an idle and you have to feather the throttle for a good 5 seconds to get any feed back. I’m thinking a carb issue, but maybe you guys have a better idea. I do have the new gas lines in it. I also checked the fuel filter and there was no water in it.

If the carbs haven't been done then that is your first stop and should be done on any new to you ski.

Yeah I ordered a carb kit when I got it thought I could get away with a couple rides before the kit came in the mail. Any other ideas i can look at before I get the kit in?

Riding it with carb issues is a sure way to seize the engine.
