Ill start from the top.
My family has had these skies for 9-10 years
About 4 years ago me and my buddy were diagnosing a bogging issue while it was out of water. Starter always had to be tapped on to start the ski. About the third start the engine started running REALLY rough. We shut it down ASAP. Let it sit for a few. Went to crank it and it cranked VERY slow like a dead battery. Put my smart charger on and still VERY slow after a full charge. Never figured if out then. Fast forward about 3 years. Started working on them again. New battery in the 94 and it would just CLICK when trying to start. Pulled the starter and the magnets were stuck to the magneto. I repaired the starter with a full rebuild even custom painted it pearl green (bored at work). Now she cranks great. But has no spark. Coil has been replaced a few years ago. Popped the stator cover off and some oil came out. Normal or not good? Is it possible the starter got suck engaged causing the rough condition 4 years ago? Im guessing the flywheel magnets could be stuck to the stator if its built similar to the starter. Anyone hear of flywheel magnets falling off?

I seem to remember reading that was a common issue with certain older models...as the old Seloc manual described it in detail in two different sections. Based on everything I've read, oil should not be present as its probably a crank seal going bad. Hope this helps. Good luck.
