I really need some help! I bought my jetski used from a personal seller. We tested out the jetski and it worked great. The night before I took the ski out to the lake, it wouldn't start. It had a slow or lag turnover but didn't quite turn over completely. Then, there was only a clicking noise. I left it at a guys small engine shop for repairs but he said "he wasn't able to fix the jetski"after it say there for a month. I took the ski home. Now, there is no noise at all when I try to turn it on. I replaced the starter solenoid, new battery, new gaskets for the manifold. What else can I do? I did notice that there is a black/yellow wire disconnected that leads from the stop switch. But, I don't see any more female connectors to connect it to. Any advice?

Sounds like a ground problem to me. Make sure the ground wire comes from the negative battery terminal and to the starter mount bolt and is making solid contact. Don't ground it on an engine mount bolt. Next take your plugs out and make sure your engine turns over by hand by grabbing the pto flywheel on the back of the motor. (You'll have to remove the gray plastic cover to grab it). If your Battery is good, starter is good, it should turn over very solid and quick.

Also if it hasn't already been done, you absolutely must replace all of the gray fuel lines on the ski. The lining will clog your carbs up constantly. I just did a complete rebuild of your ski and had to trouble shoot dozens of problems.

Not the actual turning over part, that's an electrical issue. I was just giving you a heads up on the fuel lines.

If it just sparks then I would suspect a bad starter. Use jumper cables and touch the positive directly from the battery to the starter positive terminal. If it still just sparks your starter is bad.
