1994 Sea Doo XP 657 Spark Initially

I have a 1994 Sea Doo XP. I just recently rebuilt the engine and now having a spark issue. If I walk out to the garage and press the start button it will spark/fire and then lose spark right away. Then if I try it right away again, it will crank and crank with no spark. I have to let it sit for a while before it will spark once again. I just put a different coil in and same results.

Are you sure you have the small red witre on the correct side of the solenoid? If it is on the wrong side it will only spark when cranking.

Once it sparks initially, it will not spark anymore while cranking
