While replacing the wear ring, I accidentally broke the water intake nozzle on the Jet pump (P/N 293-700-019). I attempted to glue it back together, but it didn't hold upon installation. I believe these are threaded into the pump head, but haven't had much luck backing it out.

Does anyone have any tips or tricks for getting this out, without destroying the threads?

Thanks

Not yet. I had to wait for my new nozzles to come from OSD, in order to verify the thread size. Tomorrow I will get a 1/2" 18 TPI tap to chase the threads, removing any of the material that I could not dig out.

I can tell you that the backout bit I used did not work. I ended up carefully prying out what little material I could. I will let you know how the tap works.

Just a follow up for anyone that may have the same problem. I used a 1/4" NPT tap, after I removed the shredded plastic tube from the threads.

The new metal nozzles are nice, I won't have to worry about breaking them the next time I have to remove the pump.
