Hey everyone !!
I have read through the forum and there is a lot of good info here !! I purchased a 1993 XP just to play around with in our local river and I ran into some problems!!
It seems as though at times it will not get up past 4000 RPM, but some days it ran perfect!! I have the carbs cleaned out (2) times and the high speed jet all the way tight and the low speed 1-1/2 turns out. When it will not get past the 4000 RPM, I have opened the seat while underway and pinched the fuel line and it would kick off and get up to ~6000 RPM. I have read about the "rectifier" as a possible problem, so I unhooked the red wire in the computer box and I was going to try it out today. The person who owned it last did the oil reroute trick to run on premix and he also said that each cylinder had ~130 PSI, one does have 130 but he front one check out to have only 115!! I was going to run it a couple months before doing a top end just to be sure its worth doing. I also have the fuel lines running directly from the tank to the carb. I was thinking it may have been a problem there??
Does anyone have anymore suggestions?? Thank in advance
