Working on this watercraft is new to me.I'm trying to get the carbs off. It would seem to me that I need a special wrench to get them off. Could someone please let me know what to do.:willy_nilly:

Read the whole sticky at top, on carb adj. I suggest you remove the RV cover w/carbs as an assembly. Bill

Thats what i've been told...I'm new to the forum. It seems I have two threads going now. I asked the question in the "I'm Lost" thread and did get a responce from JHJESSE in Georgia. He said the same thing . Not use to working on these crafts. Pretty tight quarters.

After further review, it seems like I have to remove the motor. Please can someone tell me that is not true.

Remove oil pump & carb flanged manifold assembly:
A 13mm racheting box end wrench. The lower right is hardest, so do that one first.
1. remove airbox & arrestor plate
2. remove two carb screws that hold cables bracket, remove as a unit. set aside.
3. remove fuel lines & pulse line.
4. remove the RV four 13mm cover screws, pull away a little, use a butterknife to reach in and slide Rotory valve against engine.
then pull RV cover assembly away and put a zip tie on the RV shaft to keep the rotary valve from comeing off the splined shaft,
or you'll be retimeing it.
5. Put the assembly on your shop bench and "git-r-done". (rebuild carbs & check oil pump & replace oil lines).http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/seadooforums/Seadoo_oem/Seadoo_PWC.asp?Type=13&A=18&B=15

Fuel not routeing

Now that you've done the above, use your garden air compressor.
1. Use a wire to dislodge any clog & Air chuck the engine carb pulse nipple.
2. Put the fuel supply line in a catch bottle, apply a small amount of psi into the return line. If fuel comes out, yer good! The carbs fuel pump can suck fuel and return it to gas tank. Open the gas cap to stop fuel flow into bottle. Cork ends, set aside for now.

One trick is put a towel under the oil pump assembly so if you drop a bolt it won't fall under the engine. Use a shop light and a lighted mirror if
nessecary, take your time. Rome wasn't built in a day. Take a breather after each bolt.

Yes, perhaps you can do post #8. Maybe its JUST a routeing problem. Carb can't drink. I think I read someone showed/explained to see
if carbs drink fuel.

I'm not sure if your with me or not. Getting the manifold off is whats got me @ a stand still. Not sure what "post no#8"means...Feeling pretty dumb @ this point

Going to try and get back to it on Tuesday when our local jetski bone yard opens. This ain't over yet! By the way...I thought that "smiley" said DOPE,Like how I feel like right now. Thanks and I'll try to get more info next week.

Bill, I'm going back @ it. About to remove RV cover. Wish me the luck and the strength I will need to complete this task. I still now have that busted pump cover issue that I created. Any suggestions on that ? Thanks footnote: understood the "post#8". I guess I should of told you that it sat since '03, removed and thoroughly cleaned fuel tank.I replaced all fuel lines including pick up lines in the tank with new filters @ the end of the pick up tubes. It ran but would not accelerate. Turned it around and nursed it back to the trailer. I knew I shouldn't of tried to put it on the lake before cleaning the carbs.....You sound like the "GURUE" of this site.

You could drill it out and epoxy in a plactic line connector. Replaceing is best because of vibration, thats why they're brass.

Great idea. Your probably right though about the new part. I'll just chalk that one up for experience. But it will cost me $45.00 .Thanks

I got the carbs off! Thought I would see more junk in them but they were not to bad. I did notice that the diaphragm seemed somewhat misshapen on one side. Is that normal ? I'll have to see if they come in a rebuild kit. Thanks
