1991 580 white motor no spark

i just picked a white 580 motor had no spark i ohmed out the exciter coil and charge circut they both ohmed out just fine. replaced the coil and i still caint get spark. i was wondering if there was a way to bybass the tether switch to see if that was bad bypass the cdi to see if thats bad. and im also interested in the overheat temp sensoron the top of the motor could that have gone bad and be killing the spark? is there a way to ohm these things out bypass them anything ? id really appreciate your help

unplug the black/red wire from "butt connector" at coil, and see if it kicks over. If so, then you'll need to "ckoke" it, to kill the ski. If this happens, then you need a new mpem.

mpem is that the same as the cdi? and by kick over do you mean that the motor turns over or that i have spark?

if you disconnect that wire, try to fire it. If fires, then you'll need to pull choke to kill it. If this happens, then yah, replace the mpem/cdi

i still had no fire and the cheapest stock replacement ive found is a hundred bucks so its gunna be a few days till i get that but ill keep yall posted when its done. is there a performance one for it? or one from another year thats better.
ive allready got a coffman waterbox 44mm carb and intake and a solas impeller.
