I just got this and i placed it in the water and it floats. But when I have it tied to the dock and i step foot on the seadoo the back end sinks up to the floor boards were my feet are so the back end is under water and i am only 130lbs and it feels like it is sinking. I am new to this and it is my first jet ski so I was scared to take it out because I thought it would sink. I took it out checked plug and it was close, opened it and it was dry in there. no water in the engine either. no water anywhere. is the back end suppose to sink that far and raise up when u gain speed or am i doing something wrong.

Welcome.

OK... in 89, there wasn't an HX. There was only an SP. The HX is a later hull... somewhere around 1996.

I guess the real question is... what do you have?

BUT...

The old hulls, with a square nose, are very small. You won't sink it... but if you are sitting still... yes, your feet will be wet.

IF... you have an HX... you can't sit still. They were made for a few years for a racing class that is long gone. They are very narrow, and they were designed to GO!

Post a pic, and check the last 2 digits of the hull number.

BTW... where in DA' Burgh' are you? I'm close to Irwin.

I live in Beaver County, Chippewa.

the last 2 digits are 95

the title is wrong its for a different pwc but the registration like the PA 3235 CL matches

weird but man i was scared it hought i was sinking so i brought it back to the dock asap

OK... it could be a 95 HX.

Like I said... and HX is meant to GO. You really can't sit still on them. They aren't your typical "Sit-own" style jetski. The Yamaha Wave Blaster, and the Kawi X2 all competed in the same class.

Unfortunalty... if you want to be able to just sit and play... you need to sell it and look at the wider hulls. (X4 hulls) For the mid 90's... they would be the SP, SI, SPX, or XP.

mk
i paid 2000 for the 1995 seadoo hx
and a 1990 yamaha waverunner lx
with double trailer

so the back will lift up when i push the gas and turn the nozzle in the back where the impeller is so the nose is down not the back down

thanks for the help

i just dont wanna sink for stopping for a second
