Hello my 1989 Sea Doo sp will turn over but will not start. We had it running yesterday morning to take it out of the lake, so we could chamge the wear ring. When we put it back in the water at the end of the day it would turn over but would not fire even with starting fluid. Then by trying to start it several times we ran down the battery and took it back out of the lake. We then checked the plugs and their was a very weak spark, if any. The cylinders were filled with gas when we pulled the plugs out. Does anyone have any idea whats going on? Thanks

Ok thanks thats what we where thinking we will put new plugs in when we recharge the battery and tell you how it goes.

At that skis age, if you haven't done it yet, pull the spark plug boots off and cut the plug wires back 1/4 inch. Then reinstall boots.

Is that because the connections start to corrode? We are going on vacation for a few days and then we will try the things mentioned above
