one of the 15 amp charging fuse blows instantaneously everytime new fuse is put in. Since the machine is not running when fuse blows that should eliminate the rectifiers being bad right? I dont know maybe i have a short somewhere. Last year it ate up the stator and cup. so i replaced stator and magnetic cup along with the eye.

Mine did the same, rotax 947, caused by a short in the stator due to metal shavings from the cup. I vacumed the mag housing and it worked afterwards. So yes you probably have a short somewhere, possibly in the stator. Service manual has a test procedure to check ohm readings at the plug harness going to the mag housing to determine status of stator. I would start there.

I am wondering what caused your first stator and cup to get messed up. Perhaps your crank bearings are going out causing the close clearance to be chewing up your new cup and metal shavings are now shorting it out.

It is a rebuilt engine. Has new stator cup and eye all was super clean when I put it back together. Has never ran right even during break in. wont rev past 5500 just bounces around like rev limiter is kicking in. But that dang 15 amp fuse blows soon as u push it in.
