I have a 1999 GTX-RFI. Last year it sunk and the engine blew so I replaced it.
Everything works fine except that I am getting an error message on the digital
readout screen that says"12v low voltage". i checked the voltage coming from
the magneto and it is within range(45 to 70v). In the shop manual there is no test for the rectifier. it just says,"IF ALL OTHER READINGS ARE WITHIN RANGE
IT IS A GOOD BET THAT THE RECTIFIER IS THE PROBLEM" so I replaced it. I still get the message. Any thoughts?

Time to replace the battery cable lugs, solder & marine shrink-wrap. Clean & dielectric grease all fuse holders, wire connections. Check voltage. Start engine
and rev to 5500 rpm, recheck there. If over 15vdc, the Rectifier IS bad. Bills86e
