10 hour mark!

So I hit the 10 hour mark when I was out last weekend....finally!!!!

Is there any special maintenance I need to do before going out again? Also, I read someone somewhere say they had to take theirs to the dealer to have it "unlocked" at 10 hours....my dealer didn't mention that, is it true? Thanks guys!

Personally, I changed the oil at the 10 hour mark. And no, you don't have to take it in. The ECU does all the adjustments automatically.

Not sure what machine you have but from what I read in the manual, only the supercharged machines have ecu's that limit the performance during breakin and the programing in them will set themselves depending on hours so no trip to the dealer.

Like Hawk388 mentioned, I'd recommend you have the oil changed if you can't do it yourself. And just because you do it now, you still need to change it again before winter storeage.

I did 9.75 hours on my GTX in 2 outings because I made myself ride more even after I was tired because I wanted to complete the breakin but I've already been out twice on the new GTI and only have 3 hours on it. That's because I took my brother the first outing and my ex wife the second time out. They were ready to leave the lake before I was so I'm going to have to take only the GTI out by myself to put some serious breakin hours on.
