I got some fishing line wrapped around the impeller and wore the wear ring out.I replaced it and the seal around it.I then took the boat to the water and its still broke.

When you start to throttle it just makes alot of noise and goes no where. It sounds like the driveshaft is just spinning the rpm's go up but the boat never gets out of the water.Any ideas to what my issue may be?

Did you check the splines on the drive shaft? Is the impeller spinning?

If it's moving forward, but with no real power... I'd say you have an issue with the carbon seal.

I didnt take the drive shaft out and inspect it.I guess I'll tear it back down and check the drive shaft.Sounds like a winter project since the Summer is about over. Are the drive shafts known to wear out quick?

The boat only has around 60 hours on it.But it did sit on a dry dock in the Gulf for 3 years without being ran.It had a ton of corrosion when I first tore it apart.
