I have a 06 GTX 4 TEC Wake and I just finished giving it a tune-up: new plugs, battery, oil and filter. It started up fine and ran out of water. Dropped it in the water, took it to our dock and on the way there (within 5 min), the ski turned off. I had to keep hitting the the on/off button to get it in the slip...
I let it rest for a few hours then tested the volts at the battery when I got it running and I was getting anywhere from 4-11 volts. So, after doing some research, it sounded like the rectifier. I replaced it with a new one and saw my volts go to 13/14 at the battery. I thought I fixed the problem then, all of a sudden, the ski turned off and now it won't start..... It cranks but won't turn over...
Could I have popped a 30 amp fuse? (I didn't get a chance to check them)
Could it be the solenoid? I noticed it would click, click, click then try to start or is this a separate issue?
Thanks in advance!
