I have a 05 720 gti (single carb), i believe the oil tank is leaking (getting 2 stroke oil in bottom of ski). I am going to remove the pump and use a block off plate. Does anyone have instructions on this ski on how to remove pump? Can i take the tank out if i remove the pump? Where is the best place to buy the block off kit? I know a lot of people believe in these pumps, but i have seen multiple power heads on boat motors blow due to the pump, removed the pump started premixing, never blew another power head.

You can get the block off on Ebay. You still need oil in rotary valve cavity. Some guys loop and put a "t" from a radiator flush kit. If you crank seals start to leak you better pay attention to the level. And I'd never compare a power head oil injection system to these. These units are rock solid. All the system takes is a little maintenance, you'll spend less in new oil lines then the block of kit.

The pumps rarely fail. The rubber grommet at the line connection at the bottom of the tank may need replaced. There is a fix post for the two piece oil tanks that leak when over half full.. Use the Google search function at top right of page. It should find you the post.
