04 speedster power loss

Having some issues with my speedster.
Engines rev up to 8000 on take off but the boat doesn't get up on a plane quick. I am only getting about 40mph out of the boat at full throttle. Should a 04 speedster w/ twin 155 hit closer to 60mph.

Sounds like you've exceeded the Wear Ring clearance tolerance in your jetpump(s).
Remove the venturi and use a feeler gauge to measure it. .008 as good, .040 as bad.

sorry but i have a question. i have a 95 seadoo gtx do i have to mix the fuel and oil to 40:1 it has its owen oil tank. my father inlaw says it dont mater and that i need to mix

Your '95 GTX has a dual carb 657X engine, oil injection.

Your 657X engine is oil injected, and mixes the correct ratio for you, just keep oil in the tank. The oil injection pump is below the carburetors. These need replaced every two years, or they get brittle and break. The engine can sieze if that happens.

Wear ring tolerance

I can look inside the jet pumps and see that the tolerance is greater than.008Guess I need new wear rings!.
