04 RXP no start no nothing..

I have an 04 RXP, battery is charged, we just had it out last sunday and ran fine. Yesterday I unloaded and it will not turn over. When I put the key on it does go cherp..cherp. When I go to hit the start button...... Nothing. I took apart the push button switch and that is fine. When you push the button you can hear the engine do a whine like the fuel or somthin.. anyway anything you can give me would help. Thanks

Would it have to do w/the key? I heard that you can use different key's from another boat, would that work?
