Had both Seas out this weekend and they both ran fantastic for 2-1/2 hours. While idling near the dock mine just stumbled and quit. Pulled the key and hit the start and it started a for a few seconds then quit again. Tried the start again and sometimes it would run for a few minutes and sometimes a few seconds. No warnings or beeps on the info gauge. After trying it started and ran great for another 1/2 hour or so. Pulled into the dock, turn it off and went and got the truck to load the seas. Went to start mine again to pull closer to the dock and would not start at all. Tried a dozen times and nothing.
Got them home a thought I would try to start mine out of the water. It would start for a second then stop. After a couple times I noticed that after it would stop, I could hear four distinct clicks come from the front of the motor. It might be a echo but it sounds like either from the fuel tank or the ECM at the same time. Curious if some one would know what this might be?
Pulled the plugs and the mag side plug was dark and wet and the PTO side was brown and dry. Replaced both plugs and it still quit right away and heard four clicks. Pulled the Mag Plug to see if it had spark and started the motor. The motor took off to 2400 RPM and kept running. Had a little spark on the new plug by touching it to the Rave valve and lots of pressure coming out of the spark plug hole. Going to put a compression test to it but it look pretty decent so far. Shut it off an no clicks which I believe should not exist if everything was OK. Put the plug back in and would not run for more than a second again. Has anyone had this issue ? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Darrell
BTW - Before I put them in the Water I put about 20 Litres of E85 gas in my machine (Got 3 bars left in mine now) and 20 Litres in the other one. It was the only fuel available but curious if this was a no no?
