03 GTI LE,15 seconds worth of cranking before starting,maybe longer

bought this used ski and ran ok,new plugs and ran alot better,but some times it has to crank about 15 seconds to start and sometimes still no start,sent to Seadoo shop and they rebuilt the carb and went over the fuel system and said it was good to go,since i got it back i went for a 20 minute ride and shut it off and would not start just crank,towed it about 1mile and decided to try again and finally started after about 30 second of cranking,compression is 144 142,i need help please

When you were trying to start did you give some throttle to try?
