'03 4tec sc 185 diagnosis help

So I'm getting a svc engine and blinking red light while riding, when I pull it out and unplug the drains lots of hot water comes out. Just wondering where I should start looking. I pulled the jet pump and everything looks good with the pump assembly.

sounds like you're leaking water somewhere and probably overheating your exhaust. Check the big hose coming into the ski from the pump and going to the exhaust manifold. That feeds your exhaust system cooling water from the lake. If that's leaking you're going to toast your exhaust system. If you're running salt, it may have chewed its way through a manifold. Run it on the hose and see if you find any leaks anywhere squirting out inside the hull.

Thanks for the great info. This actually supports my thoughts. I noticed that the plastic hose that the rubber hose connects to via hose clamp is loose and is not attached to the hull like it is on my wifes ski (same ski different color) so it may just be letting in water and flooding the hull, but would that trigger a check engine and red flashing light? is there a sensor sensing the water which is likely submerging the engine enough to warm the water up, hense the hot water in the hull after use?? or do you still think I need to check the exhaust itself ?? I do feel like it sounds a little different than it used to. I will tear out and inspect the exhaust for sure and try to figure out a way to reattach the white plastic hoes for the exhaust water. I may have to drill and re rivet it into place with some sealant or silicon. On a side note I always try to upgrade parts when they need to be replaced anyways. Do you know of an exhaust upgrade for these 185s?
