01 GTS , Air leak Or fuel problem

Hello forum,
Picked up a 2001 GTS , 717 engine, or winter replaced fuel lines, oil lines, pump lines, oil filter, and water separate. 150 in both cylinders. Pre owner had carb rebuild season ago. So that being said installed new plus took it out on the water ran pretty good WOT was great however the idle was not great at all it just doesn’t idle, home on trailer flush it out and it feels like it wants to run away sill no idle? What your all opinion? Thanks

Have you tried turning up the idle adjuster?

Miki have not tried that no RPM gauge on ski not sure what to set it to. Guess til it idles ha ha

So the carb kits on these have to be only Genuine Mikuni or you will have problems and you can't always use the new springs in the kits or you will have problems. I always suspect the carbs either haven't been done or have junk carb kits.

Your High Speed screw should be 0 turns out.
Your Low Speed screw should be 1 turn out.

Your idle should be set high enough out of the water that it doesn't die in the water. If you can't get it with these settings then your carb needs to be taken apart.
