Hello everyone!
Last year I purchased a '00 RFI that needed a lot of work on the drive system. I completed the work earlier this summer and took the ski out on the water — it ran great with no issues. The second time I took it out, the ski bogged down and then wouldn’t start back up. The only thing that I had changed between the first and second time was the oil. The engine cranks at full movement, but it just doesn’t seem as though the fuel is igniting. Is there any chance that the TC-w3 oil I put in the ski is preventing the engine from combusting? I didn’t realize that the RFIs are required to use full synthetic until after this incident occurred.
Thank you for your help in advance.
