wiring issue

I have a 97 Challenger. My speedometer was not functioning so I purchased a new speed sensor. The new speed sensor has three wires, but when I removed my original speed sensor it has only two wires. How do I wire up the three wire speed sensor into my two wire system?

I had a rat chew the wire connecting the CPS (Crankshaft Position Sensor). The CPS is connected under the motor & I am not able to lift the motor out. So I am wondering if there is a way to override or bypass it? Maybe a way to trick it? Thanks for any input, Dave
