hekp with spark plugs

My SeaDoo need new spark plugs I ahve purchased the NGK replacement plugs with teh same exact model# but the plugs are thicker on the top, thus this keeps them from sliding completely into the black hose connector. I am not sure of the tip of the new ones screw off and don't want to damage it in...
